This was our first Christmas at the new house in Steveston shortly after moving in. We hosted the Kelowna gang and Lynn/Butch over New Years. We also spent New Years with Carla, Mike and Carla's parents (though we have no photos from New Years).
We flew to Toronto for the weekend to visit our new nephew Loïc who was just 6 weeks old. It was also the christening of Loïc and Zéa and we're very proud to be the godparents of both children. (You all know how religious we are!)
Nicole and Gord were visiting from Ottawa and Ky's sister's Gara and Kim also spent part of the weekend. Great weekend with the family.
We enjoyed our 4th Annual golf weekend to the Osoyoos area in the very Southern Okanagan. Our pals Shane and Tammy joined us for 3 nice rounds of golf and some relaxing times. We were unfortunately too late for the cherries this year but it was a peach bonanza. Highlights included a Salmon bake at NK'MIP Cellars which is a great winery in Osoyoos. Ask us about the edgy photos with Yoda sometime. A bit too weird to write about! ;-)
Hiking - Chief & Mt. Baker - Summer 2005 (Last Updated - October 2005)
Pictures from hiking the Chief early in the Summer on a beautiful day, a new spot with huge ancient trees near Whistler and then another picture perfect day at Mt. Baker with Mike and Carla shortly after their move to Vancouver. Not difficult to sell newcomers to the beauty of the West with weather like that!
We met up with a bunch of family in Fernie for a few days of family vacation. Andréa, Zéa, Ky, Nicole and Gord from Ontario/Quebec and Dana, Rob, Kaitlin, Madison and Emma from Kelowna (as well as one of their students, Livia from Switzerland) all met for some mountain fun. Among many other activities, the holiday included some nice hiking around Island Lake Lodge near Fernie, some great meals together at the Log cabin we rented, some hot tub and pool time, golf and a natural hotsprings North of Cranbrook. We did a bit of landscaping cleanup at our property at the river (thanks everyone!).
With Gord and Nicole heading back to Calgary, the rest of us stayed in Kootenay Park Lodge for a couple of days with day trips to Banff and Lake Louise. Loïc was along for the ride... in Andréa's belly!

We have purchased a 'new-to-be-built' house in Steveston Village which is a cute small town feeling suburb at the South end of Richmond (20 minutes from where we currently live). Here are some pictures showing the area and in general the plans/progress of the house.
Giver & Carla's Wedding - March 2005 (Last Updated - April 2005)
We joined a few of the other Gray Rocks pals in Ottawa to help celebrate the wedding of Mike and Carla. A few Vapour Locks were drunk (big surprise) and the dance floor became an interesting spot. Also included are a couple of photos of Jack and Sue's new puppy 'Soco'. One adorable little pup!
Included in these photos are pictures of our very snowy January in Vancouver. (Very strange for snow to accumulate and stay on the ground). We also have a couple of pictures of the house we rented in Kerrisdale as the owner of the place we lived in for the past 5 years sold the house. There are a few pics of Aidan who is the son of our friends and old neighbours Megan and Brian. The crew from Kelowna visited on their way to Florida for Spring Break.
